We're an award-winning Tech Consultancy, focused in Quality Engineering on a mission to become the UK's #1.

Over the past 6 years, we've redefined what quality and testing look like at 2i and to our clients. Born from a desire to view quality holistically across the entire SDLC, our Quality Engineers (QE's) are at the heart of delivering world-class consultancy services.

Why Us?

Proudly certified as a "Great Place to Work", 2i are the chosen employer of around 200 QE's and we're continuing our growth! We recently announced our eight-figure private equity funding injection as we aim to increase our revenue by more than £50m in the coming years, that is where you come in…

What we’re looking for…

We’re looking for people who let curiosity and interest lead them. We don't expect to have a team of "experts". What we do expect, is for #Team2i to be...

  • Inquisitive
  • Open to challenge
  • Taking initiative
  • Accountable

You have an appreciation for various types of software and be passionate about helping to improve the quality of products you work on, through questions, curiosity and exploration. Our projects and clients are diverse, so what we really look for are driven to develop and expand their skillset and knowledge.

What you’ll be doing...

Working within one of our amazing client project teams you will contribute to quality engineering activities, including functional (what it does) and non-functional (how well it does it) testing. You will learn foundational testing skills, and through your first few months will be introduced to coding and test automation. You will be expected to contribute to delivery ceremonies and practices, such as daily stand-ups, planning, refinement and reviews.

After an initial focused training programme, you will have a solid foundation in all the topics covered and will be able to apply the learnings to real project work on client site. We’ll also give you one day per week away from client work to continue your learning journey.

Your Responsibilities…

  • Collaborating with team members and client stakeholders to develop a shared understanding of what good looks like
  • Design and execute functional manual and automated tests using a range of quality craft and core test techniques
  • Record issues/defects found during testing, clearly and concisely with sufficient detail to support investigation and resolution
  • Exceed client expectations by delivering exceptional services focused on what they feel matters most
  • Develop an understanding of the role of functional and non-functional testing in delivering quality software products
  • Develop an understanding of the role of test automation in software delivery

  • Basic Coding experience - this could be a bootcamp, training course, apprenticeship, during a University Degree - you must showcase this on your CV clearly
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn - you'll be open to learning new skills, inquisitive as to how things work and driven to improve things
  • Great Communication and Collaboration skills - Testing is all about problem solving, and one of the key skills we look for is how well you communicate and collaborate with the team around you to solve problems, highlight challenges and raise issues

Eligibility Criteria:

What if you are a partial fit?

Curious? We want to hear from you!

We don’t believe in the “perfect” hire. What we do believe in is the benefits of creating a team built of different perspectives, backgrounds, career paths and ways of working. What we value most are team players who are eager to take their growth into their own hands and utilise the people around them. However, we cannot make allowances when it comes to our eligibility criteria so please do read this carefully to ensure you meet our minimum expectation.
