To coordinate and contribute to the development of high-quality, compliant bid submissions that support the organisation to secure government-funded contracts across employability, skills, health, justice, neurodiversity, apprenticeships, and adult education. The role will combine bid coordination and bid writing responsibilities, working collaboratively with operational and support teams to produce compelling, outcome-focused tender responses. Key Responsibilities and Key Performance Indicators
- Coordinate the development and submission of bids across a range of commissioning routes, including email, e-procurement portals (e.g. Jaggaer, Atamis), and other government procurement systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
- Support the end-to-end bid lifecycle, including Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Selection Questionnaires (SQs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and framework applications.
- Draft, edit, and quality assure written responses, ensuring clear, compelling, and evidence-based submissions aligned to commissioner requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Work with internal stakeholders across operations, quality, partnerships, and support functions to gather content, data, and evidence to inform high-quality responses.
- Develop responses relating to programme delivery, social value, impact, equality, diversity and inclusion, and participant outcomes across government-funded provision.
- Maintain bid trackers, action logs, and timelines, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and deadlines are effectively managed across multiple concurrent opportunities.
- Manage bid documentation, including version control, formatting, and submission pack assembly to ensure consistency and audit compliance.
- Support bid governance processes, including organising review meetings, incorporating feedback, and finalising submissions to a high standard.
- Maintain and update the bid library, including case studies, policies, local research and standard responses, supporting continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Contribute to post-submission reviews and lessons learned processes to strengthen future bid performance.

Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseQualifications and specific training
- English and Maths at Level 2 (or equivalent) (essential)
- Degree or professional qualification in relevant area (e.g. Business, English, Marketing, Public Sector) (desirable)
Experience
- Experience in bid coordination and/or bid writing within a deadline-driven environment (essential)
- Experience within an Independent Training Provider or working on DWP, ESFA, MoJ, NHS or Local Authority contracts (desirable)
Knowledge
- Understanding of bid and tender processes, including public sector procurement requirements (essential)
- Knowledge of government-funded programmes across employability, adult skills, apprenticeships, health or justice sectors (desirable)
