Role Details:

We’re seeking a seasoned Commissioning Director to lead end-to-end commissioning efforts on a high-profile nuclear infrastructure project. This strategic role drives technical readiness, operational handover, and compliance excellence—from design through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning Leadership: Own the full commissioning lifecycle, aligning with project disciplines and project goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, design partners, and site operators to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Regulatory Governance: Ensure nuclear safety compliance and secure necessary approvals.
  • Project Execution: Drive planning and execution within scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team with a focus on safety and collaboration.
  • Operational Transition: Guide handover to operations, including procedural development and operator training.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement process enhancements and stay aligned with industry best practices.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed commissioning records and provide timely progress reports.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of nuclear safety regulations and commissioning processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commissioning within the nuclear sector, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, nuclear or a related field.
  • NEBOSH certification or nuclear safety-specific training
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 (optional but advantageous)
