What the Production Manager involves
As the Production Manager reporting to senior management you will be managing the production on this cutting edge assembly facility. With a focus on safety, quality, inventory, delivery & production you will be responsible for teams hitting targets shipping some 800 products per month.
Requirements of the Production Manager
- Degree or time-served or vocational engineering / manufacturing qualification.
- Excellent people management skills to mentor / develop the team - able to motivate, assertive, team development with good independent decision making skills.
- Take ownership of the team, enabling high levels of engagement from the team and challenging the team where necessary.
- Experience in a manufacturing / production environment, targets, KPIs to hit, getting stuff out the door.
- Exposed to lean techniques, 5s in the cells, Gember walks, follow lean principles etc.
