Ashtead Technology is looking for a proactive Logistics and Business Administrator who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys supporting a wide range of business operations. This role supports our global activity, coordinating the movement of equipment and people, supporting high-value AI projects, and working closely with internal teams, clients and logistics partners around the world. What You’ll Be Doing
- Contribute to global operations by supporting the business with all freight forwarding movements locally and internationally.
- Managing import/export documentation, customs entries, EORI records and delivery paperwork with precision.
- Making sure all logistics activity meets regulatory, customs and compliance requirements.
- Liaising with clients to approve export, return and re-export documentation for hire equipment.
- Sending pre-alerts, tracking shipments and supporting in-country arrivals when needed.
- Partnering with sales and project teams to ensure logistics quotes are accurate and incoterms are agreed early.
- Raising and managing purchase orders for freight agents, vendors and project needs.
- Checking import entries, resolving issues and arranging amendments where required.
- Providing vital administrative support to AI project commercial and delivery teams.
- Coordinating global travel, accommodation, visas and certifications for project personnel
- Processing offshore timesheets and supporting contract management and invoicing
What Experience You'll Bring
- Previous experience within the freight industry, including dealing with sea/road freight preferred.
- Knowledge of Incoterms 2020.
- Experience in UK customs formalities and in handling / producing transit documentation.
- Strong administrative skills with experience in a fast paced position.
- Working knowledge of MS office packages / ERP systems.
