Help strengthen our Team as our 24*7 NOC Engineer onsite at our Belfast NOC.Working 2 set of day shifts, so 4 days on (7am to 7pm), 4 days off, then 4 days on again, 4 days off and then do 2 set of night shifts so 4 nights on (7pm to 7am), 4 nights off, 4 nights on again, 4 nights off. ce. Capita TechOps is seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT/Network Engineer to join our dynamic Operations Centre team. Based in Belfast, you’ll be part of a 24/7 shift team supporting critical infrastructure and resolving network/IT incidents with precision and professional
ism.You’ll collaborate closely with Network Engineering and Service Delivery teams to ensure high-quality service delivery across a vital client base. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy solving technical challenges while delivering excellent customer service—this role is for
you. What you will be
- doingAct as the first point of escalation for customer c
- alls.Log and manage faults/service requests via Remedy, resolving over 95% at first t
- ouch.Work within strict SLAs to ensure timely resolut
- ions.Maintain accurate shift handovers and keep support tickets up to
- date.Keep customers informed throughout the fault lifec
- ycle.Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Juniper, and Adtran switches, routers, DSLAMs, modems and other IT Sys
- tems.Manage circuit faults across ADSL, SDSL, Ethernet, NGA, MPF, and
- SMPF.Liaise with third-party engineers and suppliers to resolve is
- sues.Support field engineers with remote configurations and link ch
- ecks.Monitor network health using SolarW
inds. What we are lookin
- g for:Proven experience in IT Helpdesk or NOC environ
- ments.Strong troubleshooting skills in IT/Networking, with appropriate escalation prac
- tices.Background in enterprise network support; CCNA certification or equivalent experience preferred, Windows OS and server su
- pport.Experience working with third-party suppliers and managing escala
- tions.Familiarity with ITIL service environments and SLA adhe
- rence.High attention to detail and ability to perform under pre
- ssure.Excellent communication and customer service s
