Care and Support - Maples Care Home Contract: Permanent Salary: £12.81 - £13.13 Per Hour Shift Type: Nights Contracted hours: 34.5-46 Maples Care Home is a purpose-built nursing home in Bexleyheath, set over three floors and designed to combine modern facilities with a warm, homely atmosphere. The home offers 75 spacious ensuite bedrooms where residents are encouraged to personalise their space, creating a comfortable and supportive environment. As a Care Assistant, you’ll provide compassionate, person-centred support to our residents, helping them live with dignity, independence, and joy. Role: Care Assistant Location: Maples Care Home, 29 Glynde Road, Bexleyheath, Kent, DA7 4EU Salary: £12.81 - £13.13 per hour Hours: 34.5 or 46 hours per week nights 7pm-7am, working on a rota including weekends and public holidays In this rewarding role, you’ll work individually and as part of a supportive team to deliver the highest standards of care and companionship to our residents. What You’ll Be Doing
- Checking on residents throughout the day and night to ensure their wellbeing and comfort
- Providing personal care with kindness and respect, supporting residents with daily activities while encouraging their independence
- Helping residents maintain their dignity and self-esteem through patient, compassionate care
- Contributing to care plans by working alongside residents and their families or representatives
- Supporting residents to take part in wellbeing and social activities both inside and outside the home
- Building positive, trusting relationships with residents, families, and your team
What You’ll Bring
- A professional, reliable, and flexible approach to your work
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A respectful, courteous, patient, and compassionate manner at all times
- Ideally, a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
