Overview

The Commercial Excellence Manager will lead and inspire the Commercial Excellence team, driving transformation and continuous improvement across all areas within Commercial. This role is critical in delivering value, high standards, and exceptional performance. By leveraging data driven insights, building strong stakeholder relationships, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, the Commercial Excellence Manager ensures commercial processes are executed effectively, aligned with business goals, and fully compliant with corporate policies and governance standards. This includes identifying inefficiencies, implementing best practices, and leveraging data-driven insights to streamline workflows, enhance operational effectiveness, and maximise return on investment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and develop a high‑performing Commercial Excellence team
  • Drive continuous improvement, strong governance, and compliant ways of working
  • Deliver clear, accurate reporting and insights for senior leadership
  • Own promotional stock, POS, and commercial asset processes end to end
  • Act as the compliance and governance gatekeeper, managing risk and audit trails
  • Partner with Sales and suppliers to ensure efficient forecasting, delivery, and installation
  • Build capability through coaching, training, and best‑practice processes

About you

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Expertise in process improvement, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven experience in commercial strategy, transformation, or business operation roles.
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Relevant experience within an FMCG background with a strong emphasis on team management and on delivering against KPI’s.
