Operations Manager - Night Shift

We're now looking for an Operations Manager to lead and develop our cross‑dock team, driving performance, safety and engagement across the night operation. ✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Lead the cross‑dock operation across transport and warehousing, managing a night‑shift team of :70 colleagues through a Shift Manager
• Own operational performance, budgets and KPIs, ensuring productivity, service and cost targets are consistently achieved
• Drive a strong Safety First culture, leading incident reviews, ensuring compliance with SOPs/WIs, and embedding Behaviour‑Based Safety
• Manage people processes including engagement, performance reviews, absence management and disciplinary actions
• Act as the primary customer contact, building strong relationships while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence

• Proven experience in a similar operations management role within a warehouse, cross‑dock or supply chain environment
• Demonstrated people management experience at a comparable level, leading managers and large operational teams
• Experience working within a multi‑customer operation, with strong customer and stakeholder management capability
• Strong commercial and financial awareness, with experience of budget management and cost control preferred
• Start‑up or change‑management experience desirable, with the ability to build, stabilise and improve operations
