Engage Talent Partners are supporting our client in the recruitment of a Project Engineer to join their projects and design team, based south of Aberdeen.

Our client is a leading organisation within their industry, operating across the oil and gas, renewables, defence, and nuclear sectors. The successful candidate will be joining the business at an exciting time, following a strong year with several high-profile contract wins and significant growth planned in the years ahead.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in mechanical design, strong problem-solving skills, and a clear understanding of the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical reports, workpacks, and procedures, including engineering calculations, hydraulic analyses and gas system calculations
  • Contribute to the development of improvement of company design systems, standards, and procedure.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Provide input and ideas for the development of both new and existing products.
  • Support proposal and project activities, often working to tight deadlines
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Planners, and the Design Team to ensure projects are delivered on time within budget.
  • Liase with external design contractors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with the Workshop and Engineering Manager during the assembly and testing
  • Ensure all project documentation is managed and controlled in accordance with company quality procedures
  • Undertake occasion site or offshore visits as required to support project execution.

Applicants should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or have a minimum of five years’ experience in a mechanical or process engineering role. Strong capability in using design software, performing engineering calculations, and conducting technical analysis is essential. A solid understanding of the full project lifecycle, from design through to delivery is also required.
