Overview

An established and growing commercial property advisory firm is seeking an experienced Director level Project Manager to join its London team. The business specialises in occupier advisory, workplace strategy and office relocation services, delivering complex office fit out and workplace transformation projects for corporate clients.

This opportunity sits within the firm’s Technical division and represents a key leadership hire. The successful candidate will play an important role in shaping the strategic direction of the team while overseeing the delivery of major office fit out and refurbishment projects across London.

This position combines project delivery, client advisory and business leadership, making it well suited to an experienced Project Manager looking to step into a broader leadership role.

The Role

As a Director Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of large scale workplace and office fit out projects from concept through to completion, ensuring high quality execution and strong commercial performance.

Alongside project delivery responsibilities, you will contribute to the wider growth of the business by strengthening client relationships, supporting business development initiatives and helping drive operational improvements within the Technical team.

Key Responsibilities_Strategic Leadership_

  • Deliver the Technical team strategy in line with wider company objectives
  • Support revenue growth through strong pipeline management and commercial performance
  • Improve internal processes, reporting structures and CRM adoption
  • Encourage collaboration across teams to support wider business growth

Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor Project Managers and junior staff within the Technical team
  • Establish high standards for project delivery, reporting and technical quality
  • Create a collaborative environment focused on development and continuous learning
  • Provide guidance and coaching to support team progression

Project Delivery

  • Oversee multiple office fit out and workplace transformation projects across London
  • Provide strategic oversight to ensure projects align with client and business objectives
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
  • Manage senior client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
  • Lead project teams and ensure consistent delivery standards across projects

Client Strategy & Business Development

  • Engage clients at early stage workplace and property decision points
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities within existing and prospective client relationships
  • Support the development of fee structures and commercial models for project services
  • Strengthen the firm’s position as a trusted advisor within the market

Innovation & Technology

  • Review internal systems and delivery processes to improve efficiency
  • Support the adoption of smarter working practices and technology across the team
  • Leverage digital tools and data to enhance project delivery and client outcomes

Candidate Profile

The successful individual will likely bring:

  • Strong experience delivering Office Fit Out and Workplace Projects within Commercial Real Estate
  • Proven track record managing large scale project management commissions on both traditional and design and build procurement routes
  • Strong understanding of corporate occupier requirements and workplace strategy
  • Experience developing and maintaining senior client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities
  • Experience managing teams and mentoring Project Managers or surveyors
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial awareness
  • Experience using CRM platforms and workflow systems
  • Commitment to sustainability, diversity and inclusive working practices
