Pipeline Intelligence Associate

As a Pipeline Associate at Kainos, you'll play a key role in helping identify and qualify new business opportunities, supporting sales and presales teams, and improving visibility across our sales pipeline. You'll work closely with Business Development, Presales and Bid teams to ensure opportunities are tracked, assessed and routed effectively, while helping us adopt increasingly data-driven and AI-enabled ways of working.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Monitor procurement frameworks, portals and pipeline sources for new opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity records, trackers and reporting dashboards.
  • Support early opportunity qualification by gathering, researching and summarising key information.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of early-stage procurement responses, expressions of interest and related documentation.
  • Manage bid portals, opportunity registers and sales collateral to ensure information is organised and accessible.
  • Produce regular pipeline reports and support communication across sales, presales, bid and delivery teams.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including the adoption of automation and AI-enabled tools.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather and interpret information from multiple sources.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to take ownership and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Interest in business development, sales pipelines, technology and digital transformation.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in a commercial, business development, bid support, procurement, sales operations or similar environment.
  • Understanding of sales pipelines, opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid decision making.
  • Awareness of public sector procurement processes and framework routes.
  • Exposure to technology, digital services or digital transformation sectors.
