Vacancy Detail View vacancy list Accounts Administrator Newtownards | Full-Time | Monday to Friday | £27,000–£30,000Interviews will take place on Wednesday, 22 July, with the successful candidate expected to commence in early August.Keenan Recruitment has been retained to recruit an Accounts Administrator on behalf of a successful and expanding business based in Newtownards. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant or Finance Administrator ready to take the next step in their career. Joining a growing organisation, you'll take ownership of a varied workload and play an integral role in supporting the day-to-day finance function while helping to improve processes as the business continues to grow. If you enjoy working with numbers, thrive in a busy environment and take pride in accuracy and organisation, we'd love to hear from you. The Role Reporting into the leadership team, you'll be responsible for a broad range of finance and administrative duties, including:

  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Payroll processing and employee expenses
  • Credit control and supplier reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations and cashflow monitoring
  • Supporting month-end finance activities
  • Creating, chasing and processing invoices
  • Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline finance and operational processes
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider business

About You We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys taking ownership of their work. You'll Ideally Have:

  • At least one year's experience in an accounts or finance environment
  • Experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Finance Administration role
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Xero (or similar accounting software)
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
