Finance Manager

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid, 3 days per week)

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 + benefits

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Latham & Bond Recruitment Group are recruiting for a large multi-site group in Birmingham with a fast-growing International footprint. As the business continues to scale, they are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the management accounts production and support the Finance Director in managing the team, as well as supporting operational and commercial decision-making by partnering with Directors across the business.

This is a high-visibility opportunity with a clear route to an FC-level role. You’ll be joining at a pivotal moment for the business, with lots of improvements to be made across systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and forecasts
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple business units
  • Provide financial analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making
  • Contribute to business growth through robust performance tracking and forecasting
  • Partner with the Team leader and Directors to drive financial strategy and improve operational performance.
  • Systems and process improvement
  • Identify and deliver improvements to existing finance processes and controls
  • Manage the preparation of the management accounts and provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to a small team.

Skills and Attributes

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in team management
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and regulatory understanding
  • Proven success in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Proficient with financial systems and Excel
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work at pace and take ownership in a scaling environment
