MacLean International is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to grow our presence across the oil & gas, renewables, hydrogen, CCUS, and OEM markets within the North West region of England.
This is a pivotal role in expanding our footprint and delivering tailored commercial solutions across a dynamic and fast-evolving energy portfolio.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across all energy sectors.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with operators, EPC contractors, subsea, national accounts, and service providers.
- Developing and executing strategic business development plans aligned with company growth goals.
- Preparing and delivering technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with internal teams.
- Representing MacLean International at client meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Promoting our Cable, Electrical, and Industrial product lines to both new and existing customers.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful customer experience.
- Reporting weekly on sales activities, forecasts, and account performance.
- Travelling as required to visit clients, suppliers, and any of our branch locations to support business needs and relationship development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in business development or sales within a relevant sector (Oil & Gas, New Energy, or Industrial Markets) is advantageous.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Commercially driven with a strategic mindset and strong technical awareness.
- Confident communicator with experience delivering tailored solutions and proposals.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the UK and potentially internationally.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and adaptable approach.
