Job Description

Posted on: February 13, 2026

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join the Ealing Early Intervention in Psychosis Service as a Healthcare Facilitator. This vital role focuses on supporting the physical health and wellbeing of individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis, often at a time when they are meeting mental health services for the very first time. You will be joining a highly supportive, collaborative team made up of professionals from a rich mix of backgrounds and levels of experience, all united by a shared commitment to promoting hope and recovery. The service places strong emphasis on professional development, reflective supervision, and creating space for staff to shape new initiatives in response to fast‑changing healthcare needs. We are looking for someone who brings compassion, curiosity, and clinical confidence, with a genuine dedication to delivering personalised, holistic care. To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be passionate, proactive, and flexible, ensuring every person receives the right support at a crucial point in their journey. The successful candidate will be based at Cherington House, Hanwell W7 3HL. The successful candidate will be experienced in monitoring physical healthcare within a mental health setting and will have a strong understanding of the risks associated with poor physical health in people living with mental illness. They will be committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and improving access to physical health interventions for all individuals using the service. The post‑holder will be able to provide personalised information, guidance, and education with sensitivity and a non‑judgemental approach, adapting their communication to each person’s unique needs, circumstances, and stage of recovery. The role requires a compassionate approach, effective communication skills, and the ability to empower individuals to achieve improved well-being and independence. The post holder will be responsible for the EIP physical health assessments for all patients on the caseload, as part of the 7 core interventions. West London NHS Trust is one of the most diverse healthcare providers in the UK, delivering a range of mental health and physical healthcare and community services.
