Scotland's Railway is part of this large family and it covers a large geographical area from the Borders to Thurso at the far tip of the North East of Scotland, accounting for almost 20 per cent of the UK rail network. We provide rapid access along busy commuter routes to our seven cities, servicing the varied needs of our business and leisure commuter services, including cross border services and rural services. We have up to 50 freight services operating every day and we are steadily building capacity for this to grow. We actively challenge unsafe practices and take responsibility for addressing risks, resolving issues and protecting safety and wellbeing. About The RoleThis is a Full-TimePermanentposition. The role is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Section, including the management of rosters and timesheets, maintaining accurate system records, and updating databases. This includes opening and closing work orders as required and supporting the administration of the Assessment in The Line process to ensure operational and compliance requirements are met. The post holder will also undertake a wide range of general office administration duties, maintaining efficient and well¿organised filing systems with particular attention to confidentiality and safety¿critical documentation. The role works closely with the Section Manager and provides flexible support to other Section Administrators as directed, contributing to the smooth and effective running of the team. Key Accountabilities
- Administration of rosters and timesheets.
- Accurately update systems, databases and records as required including opening/closing works orders where directed.
- Support the administration of the Assessment in The Line process.
- Set up and maintain efficient filing systems for the Section(s) paying particular attention to confidentiality where necessary and also those documents deemed to be safety critical.
- Undertake general office administration duties for the Section Manager using a range of knowledge and skills to provide effective support.
- Provide support and assistance to other Section Administrator positions as directed.
