As a Business Support Assistant you will provide comprehensive, confidential administrative service within the Orthotics Department based at Crosshouse Hospital. Working proactively on you own initiative with a flexible and positive attitude, in conjunction with other team members. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors / callers to the Service, ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently, providing a positive image, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures. You will support the co-ordination for the supply, repair, maintenance and replacement of medical, surgical and Orthopaedic Appliances prescribed for patients by Orthotists within national and locally agreed guidelines. - SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business Administration OR equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Supported the development, maintenance and reporting of performance management information and the collation of statistical information.
- Broad experience and understanding of the operation of NHS and / or Social Care Services.
- Effective networking capabilities and ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with key partners;
- Used Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Knowledge of the various information systems within Health and / or Social Care.
- Knowledge and understanding of the requirements the Partnership has to comply with in relation to Caldicott guidelines and Data Protection.
- Knowledge and understanding of services delivered by East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
- Have a knowledge of Health and Safety requirements within an office environment.
