The Role To provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service. Postholder will work across all Health Centres within East Kilbride Locality covering reception desks within our Health Centres on a rotational basis. Postholder will also be expected to cover telephone referral line within Specialist Palliative Care Services on a ad-hoc basis or backfilling during periods of leave. What we'll need you to bring

  • Educated to standard grade level or experience in a similar role
  • Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.
  • Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.
  • Proficient I.T. skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience of reception role/customer care
  • Experience dealing with members of the public
  • Experience in an reception type role
  • Experience in a confidential work setting
  • Working knowledge of NHS systems.
  • Proficient IT skills which include working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to work in a busy office environment
  • Good keyboard skills
  • Good organisational and planning skills

A driving licence is desirable for this post, this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence. Contract type Permanent Full time 37 Hours Location This role will be based in Administration within East Kilbride Locality.
