The Opportunity

We’re working with a fantastic, purpose-driven organisation to recruit a People & Culture Advisor on a 6-month FTC. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a high-performing People team during an exciting period of change, where you’ll have real exposure across the business. You’ll partner closely with managers, influence the colleague experience and play a key role in delivering people initiatives that genuinely make a difference. It’s a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you’ll be trusted to get stuck in, add value quickly and be part of shaping how the organisation supports its people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on a range of employee relations matters, providing practical, balanced advice
  • Support and coach managers to build capability and confidence in handling people issues
  • Play a key role in delivering a positive end-to-end colleague experience, from onboarding through to exit
  • Contribute to and support business-wide people initiatives, including change, wellbeing and EDI activity
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify development needs and support performance improvement
  • Work collaboratively across the People function to ensure a consistent and high-quality service
  • Provide insights and data to support decision-making and continuous improvement across the business

Ideal candidate

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR/People Advisor role, with strong employee relations exposure
  • Confident building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with the ability to coach and challenge constructively
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and how to apply this in a commercial way
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
  • Comfortable working in a changing environment and keen to be part of improvement and transformation activity
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload

Summary

This is a great opportunity for an HR/People Advisor who enjoys being close to the business and wants expose to change, projects and stakeholder engagement. You'll join a supportive team, gain broad experience, and have the chance to make a real impact during a key period for the organisation, ideal for someone looking to develop their experience in a values-led environment.

Please note, as this is initially a 6 month FTC, you will need to be available at short notice. This role offers lots of flexibility with working patterns currently 2 days in the office.
