Interim Head of HR6-Month Fixed-Term Contract£100,000 – £120,000 + PackageHybrid Working – 3 Days in Office (South West)

Our client, a well-established business in the consumer goods sector, is seeking an experienced Interim Head of HR to join them during a period of transformation.

This is a critical senior HR leadership role within a business undergoing significant change. The successful candidate will be responsible for stabilising and strengthening the HR function, building a robust operational foundation, and positioning HR as a true strategic partner to the business rather than a traditional support function.

Key Responsibilities

• Stabilise and restructure the HR team, ensuring the right capability, structure and support are in place
• Modernise HR policies, systems and processes to create a strong operational backbone
• Support the rollout and embedding of a performance management framework
• Lead and deliver organisational change initiatives effectively
• Partner closely with senior leaders to enhance engagement and culture through clear communication and a visible, proactive HR presence

About You

• Proven experience as a senior HR leader with a track record of developing and modernising HR functions
• Sector experience within consumer goods or retail is essential
• Demonstrated success in leading change and delivering transformation programmes
• Data-driven and insight-led, using people analytics to inform decision-making and drive performance
• Experience building and developing high-performing HR teams
• A credible and confident strategic partner, able to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
