Independent Quality Controller

As an Independent Quality Controller, you don’t just police compliance — you raise standards through partnership and influence.

You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our homes meet the highest regulatory and warranty standards before customers move in. Your expertise helps shape safe, high-quality homes for families across the UK.

This is a primarily site-based position, supporting developments across your region, with some flexibility where business needs allow.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting quality and compliance inspections across development sites
• Producing clear, accurate reports and identifying improvement actions
• Monitoring subcontractor and site performance against agreed standards
• Supporting teams through constructive feedback and coaching
• Investigating compliance issues and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Working collaboratively across construction, technical, commercial and buying teams
• Contributing to continuous improvement in line with the Persimmon Way

• Construction quality, inspection or compliance
• Warranty inspection or other regulated construction environments
• Knowledge of UK building regulations and warranty standards (or the ability to develop this quickly)
• Relevant construction or quality-related qualifications — or equivalent practical experience
• Strong reporting and communication skills
• Confidence working independently and collaboratively
• A proactive, improvement-focused approach
• A driving licence is required due to regional site travel.
