Transport Manager

• Annual Salary: £48,000 - £50,000
• Location: Brighouse (with some UK travel)
• Job Type: Full-time, site-based with occasional work from home

Our client is seeking a Transport Manager to oversee route planning, driver performance, legal compliance, fleet management, and health & safety.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee transport planning, routing, and daily delivery operations.
• Lead, manage, and develop driver and planning teams.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation, driver hours, and health & safety standards.
• Manage fleet maintenance, servicing, and relationships with external providers.
• Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high service levels and resolve any delivery or customer issues.
• Support consistent transport operations across all sites.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance.
• Experience managing transport operations in a multi-drop environment.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with fleet management and maintenance.
• Transport Manager CPC is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
