Robert Half is working with an established manufacturing business who are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the team in Swansea.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a broad and hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, financial reporting, team leadership, and supporting operational decision-making across the business.
This opportunity would suit a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and wants to play a key role within a growing manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end processes.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Manage accruals, prepayments, VAT returns, and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Oversee stock valuations
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Partner with departments and provide financial support and analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and systems.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager similar role.
- AAT qualification or equivalent.
- ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification (or studying towards) would be advantageous.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading or supervising a finance team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach.
