Base Location: Aberdeen, Perth, Glasgow, Inverness, Reading, Oxford, Swindon, Portsmouth, Slough or any other SSEN site. You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of these locations. Salary: £36,139 - £43,188 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family. Working Pattern: 15 month Fixed Term Contract (expected start date end of September)| Full Time | Flexible First options available The role We have an exciting fixed term contract opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact on safety, health and environmental performance across a major energy network. As SHE Coordinator, you’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders to strengthen governance, reduce risk and continuously improve SHE arrangements—helping to keep people safe and protect the environment while supporting a high‑performing, collaborative culture at SSEN. You will

  • Coordinate SHE performance reporting, incident management and escalation, including reporting, dashboards, SHE communications (internally and externally) and tracking of actions to closure.
  • Develop and deliver Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) written communications, producing original content for internal and external audiences aligned to current safety, health and environmental risks and national themes.
  • Act as a central point of administrative support for the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) team, including team coordination, maintenance of records, and general day‑to‑day support.

You have

  • Experience delivering governance, reporting and data management in a large or asset‑intensive organisation.
  • Knowledge of SHE management systems, UK SHE legislation and electricity network environments.
  • Confidence analysing data and producing clear, accurate reports and dashboards.
  • Strong attention to detail, with experience producing accurate, high‑quality reports, briefings and written outputs for a wide range of audiences.
  • Credible communicator who builds strong relationships and influences stakeholders at all levels.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (desirable), strong IT skills including experience with SharePoint, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
