We are seeking a talented and motivated Marketing Executive with 3–5 years' experience to join the Scottish Tech Army, a not-for-profit organisation enabling volunteers skilled in digital technology to support charities and social impact projects across Scotland and the UK. This role will play a key part in engaging our audiences, promoting our initiatives such as the Tech for Good Alliance, and amplifying the reach, impact, and effectiveness of our work.
About the role
The Marketing Executive will be responsible for delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns that attract and engage:
- Individual skilled volunteers

- Private sector companies with tech talent seeking to deliver social value
- Organisations in the UK’s wider tech-for-good ecosystem
- Charitable funding organisations
Working closely with the leadership team, you will create compelling communications using social media, email marketing, video content, and CRM-driven campaigns, and manage the end-to-end process from concept to delivery and reporting.
Key responsibilities

- Develop and distribute video case studies and other creative content showcasing project outcomes and impact.
- Create targeted materials and campaigns for each of our audience groups to increase engagement and conversion.
- Manage and grow our social media presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
- Support brand visibility at events, webinars, and within the UK tech-for-good ecosystem.
- Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing regular reports to the leadership team.
- Liaise with volunteers, charity partners, and corporate alliance members to source content, success stories, and testimonials.
- Ensure brand consistency and alignment with organisational values and mission in all communications.
- Organise and deliver online volunteer-focussed events and activities, e.g. lunch and learn sessions, newsletters, etc.
Skills and Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in marketing roles, ideally within the charity, social enterprise, or tech sector.
- Strong understanding of digital technology trends and ability to communicate tech concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in social media management tools, email marketing platforms, and CRM systems.
- Skills in video production and editing (experience with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Filmora, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on audience engagement
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- Experience in building partnerships and shaping messaging for diverse audiences.
- Adept at using AI to support efficient and effective content generation and delivery.
- Analytical skills to measure impact and adapt strategies accordingly.
Personal attributes
- Passion for social impact, volunteering, and the tech-for-good movement.
- Creative and proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- Strong relationship-building skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
Location and benefits
- Hybrid working, with travel one day a week to Edinburgh for team meetings, and occasional travel to events and for case study preparation.
- Opportunity to work in a mission-driven organisation making a tangible and meaningful difference in the charity and tech sectors and in society more broadly.
- Professional development and learning opportunities.
