Purpose & Scope of the Role As an Associate Project Manager, you will be a key member of our Project Management team, providing expert consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects. Working closely with colleagues across Ireland, Great Britain and the wider business, you will support projects from feasibility and assessment through to delivery and completion. This role offers the opportunity to lead project delivery, advise clients on best practice, and contribute to the continued growth of our Project Management capability. You'll enjoy a varied workload, combining autonomous responsibility with collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams and integrated client project environments. Your Impact in this Position You will help clients achieve successful project outcomes by providing strategic leadership, technical insight and commercial awareness throughout the project lifecycle. From managing programmes, procurement and budgets to overseeing risk, contracts and project controls, your expertise will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Your ability to build trusted relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders will be critical in driving collaboration and delivering exceptional results. Core Capabilities
- Project Leadership & Delivery: Lead the planning and successful delivery of complex construction projects. Define project scope, objectives and deliverables while maintaining programme and quality targets.
- Commercial & Contract Management: Manage procurement activities, capital budgets, cash flow forecasting and commercial reporting. Administer industry-standard construction contracts, including NEC contracts.
- Risk, Change & Programme Management: Proactively manage project risks, opportunities and change control processes. Develop and monitor programmes to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Stakeholder & Team Management: Build strong relationships across clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams. Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Digital & Quality Management: Manage project information within Common Data Environments (CDEs). Drive quality management processes and leverage digital tools to enhance project delivery.
Training, Qualifications & Experience Ideally, you'll hold a recognised qualification in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a construction-related engineering discipline. Membership of, or progress towards, a professional body such as APM or RICS is desirable. Experience within a consultancy environment, managing multi-disciplinary construction projects, together with knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls, will be highly valued. Working Environment Full-time, permanent position with flexible and hybrid working options available. You’ll be expected to attend the Belfast office regularly to support collaboration with colleagues and clients, while maintaining flexibility for remote working where project requirements allow. Occasional travel across Ireland and the UK may be required to support project and client needs.
