Industrial Process Engineer – Supply Chain At Thales, we’re shaping the future of technology to build a safer, more connected world—and we’re looking for an Industrial Process Engineer to join us on that journey. If you enjoy partnering with people, improving processes, and making a real impact across complex supply chains, this could be the role for you. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll work closely with our suppliers and internal teams to drive excellence in mechanical manufacturing and product delivery:

  • Build trusted partnerships with suppliers to deliver high-quality, reliable components
  • Collaborate to optimise manufacturing processes and reduce costs
  • Provide technical input during supplier selection, audits, and readiness reviews
  • Lead supplier audits, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and validate new production processes
  • Analyse process data to improve quality, yield, and performance
  • Drive APQP and PPAP activities to ensure smooth new product introduction
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined
  • Support supplier manufacturing readiness and continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Bring We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a collaborative mindset:

  • Experience in mechanical manufacturing processes (machining, casting, forging, etc.)
  • Background working with suppliers in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, APQP, and PPAP
  • Strong communication skills and a relationship-focused approach
  • A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Ability to travel to supplier sites

Your background

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Product Design or similar, or equivalent industry experience
