We're partnering with a pioneering technology company developing a revolutionary next-generation consumer electronics product and are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This is a rare opportunity to work on a truly world-first product that is already protected by granted patents and has received multiple industry awards for its innovation. The business has successfully completed its Series A funding round and is now entering an exciting phase of growth, scaling both its product capabilities and engineering function. The Opportunity

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and developing the software that powers a category-defining connected device. Working alongside a highly capable multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll help shape both the product roadmap and the underlying technology stack as the company scales.

The system has 4 different parts, STM32 processor, high powered quad core ARM processor (for the graphics) and a Linux (Yocto) platform development and a GUI using QT framework.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong Embedded Linux development experience

• Expert-level C/C++ programming skills

• Proven experience working with STM32 microcontrollers

• Experience developing low-level software, firmware, drivers, and embedded applications

• Strong understanding of software architecture for connected embedded devices

• Experience with wireless technologies such as BLE and Wi-Fi

Highly Desirable

• Experience implementing and maintaining Over-The-Air (OTA) update systems

• Background working on consumer electronics or connected products

• Experience with telemetry, device monitoring, and cloud synchronisation

• Familiarity with secure firmware deployment and device lifecycle management

• Experience with QT framework for the GUI

• Safety critical experience
