About the role

Yolk Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a values-led community housing organisation, with a strong focus on people, communities and delivering excellent services to customers, in the appointment of an experienced Personal Assistant to provide high-quality support to an Executive Director and members of the Senior Leadership Group.

The opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced PA who enjoys working in a fast-paced, senior environment and takes pride in being the person who keeps things organised, moving and on track.

You’ll be a trusted and proactive partner to senior leaders, helping them manage competing priorities and ensuring they are well supported to deliver their strategic objectives.

You'll join an established team of three PAs, working collaboratively and providing cover for one another as required. You'll need to be confident working independently, but equally comfortable as part of a close-knit team.

With the role starting in December 2026, we're ideally looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring strong PA experience from day one.

What you'll be doing

You'll provide a high-quality PA service to senior leaders, including:

  • Managing complex diaries and multiple calendars, ensuring priorities are effectively coordinated.
  • Managing busy inboxes, prioritising correspondence and ensuring actions are followed through.
  • Acting as a trusted gatekeeper, using sound judgement when managing requests and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Coordinating meetings from start to finish, including agendas, papers, logistics, minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, briefing papers and other documentation.
  • Supporting travel, accommodation and event arrangements.
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues, external partners and stakeholders.
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion.
  • Maintaining effective digital filing and document management systems, including SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Supporting recruitment and people-related processes associated with senior roles.
  • Working flexibly across the PA team, providing cover and support to colleagues when required.
  • Anticipating the needs of senior leaders and proactively resolving issues before they arise.
  • Supporting meetings and activities across the organisation, including travel where required.

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced PA who is highly organised, proactive and adaptable, with the confidence to work with senior leaders and manage competing demands.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience working as a PA or in a similar executive support role within a professional office environment.
  • Experience supporting senior managers, executives or leadership teams.
  • Strong diary and inbox management experience.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, including preparing agendas and papers, minute taking and tracking actions through to completion.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience building effective relationships with colleagues, senior stakeholders and external contacts.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and digital systems.
  • An understanding of confidentiality, data protection, cyber security and information governance principles.
  • The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience using digital office systems such as One Advanced.
  • Experience with SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Experience arranging travel, accommodation and events.
  • Experience working within a housing, public sector, not-for-profit or similarly structured organisation.

Benefits

  • Four-day working week pilot – currently extended until the end of October 2026, before a decision is made on whether to extend or make the arrangement permanent.
  • 23 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • 12% employer contribution to the Social Housing Pension Scheme from day one
  • Investment in learning and development
  • Health cash plan
  • 24/7 mental health support
  • 24/7 online GP service
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay
  • Employee discount platform
  • Occupational Health service
  • Free parking
