Gareth J. Owen, Gleeson Homes
Gleeson Homes has announced the appointment of Gareth J. Owen as land director for the Greater Manchester and Merseyside region. With over 30 years of experience in the housebuilding industry, Owen has held director-level roles for more than 20 years. He previously worked at Taylor Wimpey, Keepmoat, and McCarthy Stone.
Gareth Roberts, regional managing director at Gleeson Homes, said, “We welcome Gareth to the Gleeson Homes team. His wealth of experience aligns perfectly with our plans to strengthen our regional land pipeline.” Owen expressed his eagerness to contribute to Gleeson’s vision.
Gary Durden, Brickland Developments
Gary Durden has been appointed as the new land director at Surrey-based Bruckland Developments. With a strategic approach and experience in planning and land acquisition, Durden has previously held roles at Linden Homes, Berkeley, and Bellway.
Durden remarked, “Now is an opportune time for us to expand, incorporating some larger, well-positioned sites into the mix.”
Newmark Group Appointments
Newmark Group has made two key appointments in its PBSA Multifamily Capital Markets team: Andrew Smith as senior leader and Harriet Bantock as senior associate. Both have extensive experience in student accommodation, with Smith previously heading student accommodation at Cushman & Wakefield.
Smith stated, “There are huge opportunities for PBSA to answer to the housing demand in the UK.”
Richard Robins, Genesis Homes
Richard Robins has been appointed as land director for Genesis Homes, focusing on the North West. He aims to help the company select desirable areas for development.
Nicky Gordon, managing director of Genesis Homes, emphasized the importance of Robins’ expertise in the company’s growth.
Tyler Mudie, NHBC/NTWDC/Keepmoat
Tyler Mudie, a Newcastle teenager, has been promoted to trainee site manager at NTWDC after completing his apprenticeship. The Young Builder of the Year award winner is set to enroll in a Level 4 NVQ in Site Supervision.
Tristan Mahoney, Recognise Bank
Recognise Bank has appointed Tristan Mahoney as chief financial officer, focusing on the bank’s financial operations and growth plans. Mahoney expressed excitement about driving the bank towards profitability and growth.
