Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are navigating the challenges of a long-distance relationship while managing demanding careers, with insights from a source close to the couple.
The Reality of Their Dynamic
The couple, approaching three years of dating in 2026, doesn't have "the easiest relationship," according to an insider. For much of the second half of 2025, they were long-distance as Chalamet was abroad shooting Dune: Part Three. Despite this, they are determined to make it work, with the source explaining, "They are making their careers work and making their relationship work at the same time."
Holiday Reprieve and Future Plans
The holidays offered a break, with the pair spending time together during the festive season and for Chalamet's birthday. They intended to celebrate New Year's Eve together and have a "trip planned." December was particularly special, as Jenner had Chalamet in Los Angeles more often, making up for time spent apart when she traveled to Budapest in the fall while he was working.
Career Focus and Mutual Respect
Both Jenner and Chalamet are incredibly focused on their careers. Jenner runs a massive business and raises her kids, while Chalamet is super focused on being the best at what he does. Jenner "loves [his work ethic]" and would "never date anyone who just sits around." The source added that they are "grateful for what they have."
Keeping Romance Private
The couple has largely kept their romance out of interviews, with Chalamet recently declining to speak to Vogue about Jenner, saying, "I don't say that with any fear, I just don't have anything to say."
Support During Awards Season
Chalamet is preparing for awards season for Marty Supreme, and Jenner has shown support by attending events like the Oscars and the recent Los Angeles premiere of the film with him.
