Children at Grange Community Nursery and Primary School in Winsford had their eyes opened to future careers thanks to a special Inspire Day featuring firefighters, a nurse, a farmer, and more.
The event welcomed a variety of visitors who shared their career experiences with the pupils. Firefighters arrived in a fire engine, giving a glimpse into their critical role in the community. A nurse shared insights into patient care, while representatives from Cadet Vocational College showcased the benefits of vocational learning.
A local farmer provided an engaging talk on the origins of food, much to the delight of the children, who also had the chance to meet two friendly donkeys.
The pupils were praised for their impeccable manners and behaviour by the fire station crew manager, who described them as 'both the politest, and well-behaved children' he had encountered during school visits across Cheshire. Their imaginative and original questions reportedly impressed the firefighters, with some leaving them momentarily stumped.
The school extended its gratitude to all the visitors for their time and effort in broadening the children's understanding of various exciting career paths.
