County Durham Pupils Experience Life on a Construction Site
County Durham pupils got a taste of life on a construction site through a hands-on careers day.
Hosted by Pelton Primary School, the event was led by infrastructure and engineering company Avove in partnership with Northumbrian Water and Seymour Civil Engineering.
It was designed to introduce Year 6 pupils to the world of engineering and construction.
The day began with an introduction to the roles and responsibilities of on-site operatives, followed by interactive sessions and the opportunity for pupils to ask questions about STEM careers.
