Launch Your Career with Anglesey's Innovative Graduate Scheme: Four Success Stories Revealed!

Anglesey County Council has successfully appointed four graduates through its Dyfodol Môn scheme, a groundbreaking initiative launched earlier this year. This program offers local graduates the chance to gain valuable work experience while pursuing a postgraduate qualification, helping them develop skills and build rewarding careers within the council while ensuring service continuity for the future.

The new graduates are taking up roles in diverse areas such as Economic Development, Accountancy, and Electrical Engineering.

Llio Hughes, one of the successful applicants, shared:

"I was so happy and grateful to receive the offer, especially as a recent graduate worried about the next steps. This opportunity has given me a strong start, and I look forward to gaining valuable experience and learning in the workplace. I believe the council wants its employees to succeed and thrive, and they are committed to offering the support needed to achieve that."

Council Leader and Economic Portfolio Holder, Cllr Gary Pritchard, welcomed the new graduates, stating:

"We are delighted to welcome these talented graduates to the council. The Dyfodol Môn scheme provides an excellent platform for local people to begin their careers, develop new skills, and play an important role in delivering services for our communities. Supporting and nurturing young talent is a key part of our vision for Anglesey’s future. The scheme also provides a valuable opportunity for graduates who wish to return to work and live on Anglesey."

As the island's largest employer, the county council emphasizes that everyone deserves the chance to develop their skills and prosper in their chosen career.

Learning and Development Manager, Elen Pritchard, added:

"The Dyfodol Môn programme is a great way to invest in the workforce of the future. We’re proud to see four graduates take up these roles and look forward to supporting them as they progress."
