Matt Baker and Nicola Mooney Embrace New Career Paths: A Story of Love, Support, and Individual Growth

Matt Baker and his wife Nicola Mooney have recently shared an update on their lives, revealing that after achieving success together on their popular Channel 4 show, Our Farm in The Dales, they are now pursuing separate career paths. Nicola is stepping into the world of authorship, while Matt continues his television career.
A New Chapter for Nicola
Nicola, who previously balanced her work as a physiotherapist with raising their two children, has turned her passion for writing into a full-time career. She has already published three children's novels, with more on the way. Her books, including A Whistledown Farm Adventure: Finding Hope, Rescuing Ruby, and Meeting Meg, have been well-received, and another is expected later this year.
Matt's Continued Television Success
Matt, on the other hand, remains a familiar face on television, with his return to Countryfile announced. He will be joining Sammi Kinghorn in East Devon to explore how local coastal life is adapting to changing times. Fans can also look forward to Adam Henson's segment on young livestock care in the Cotswolds.
Balancing Love and Career
The couple, who met by chance at a disco in Cleethorpes and married in 2004, have always been supportive of each other's ambitions. "We're such doers in our lives, and we're so supportive of what each other wants to do, we've just found our way through," Matt shared during a recent appearance on Lorraine Kelly's show. Nicola added, "We make the most of the time that we have together and prioritize that and make the most of that."
Looking Ahead
As they navigate their individual careers, Matt and Nicola continue to cherish their time together, proving that love and support can thrive even when paths diverge. Countryfile fans can catch Matt's latest adventures on BBC One.
