Two people have been hospitalized with potentially serious injuries following a multi-vehicle crash involving an Amazon truck in Stoke-on-Trent. A video captures the moment the lorry unexpectedly veers off course at a roundabout junction.
The Crash
The footage shows the lorry emerging at the roundabout before it travels straight over the grassy island, colliding with a car during the incident. The truck finally comes to a halt after hitting another vehicle that was caught in queuing traffic at a different junction.
Emergency Response
West Midlands Ambulance Service reported that paramedics were dispatched to the junction of the A500 and A519 shortly after 16:00 GMT on Sunday to attend to the injured.
Company Statement
An Amazon spokesperson confirmed that the company is conducting an investigation into the incident alongside a haulage contractor, whose driver was towing the trailer involved in the crash.
