Taylor Kitsch Opens Up: The Cost of Fame and Balancing Life's Priorities

Taylor Kitsch, a renowned Canadian actor, recently shared insights about his career and the sacrifices he's made along the way during an interview with People.

First gaining recognition for his role as Tim Riggins in Friday Night Lights, Kitsch reflects on the challenges of maintaining balance in life. He stated, "There's never going to be a balance. But I'm more conscious of the lack of balance now in my 40s than I was in my 20s and 30s."

He humorously recounted a conversation with a fellow actor about their commitments, noting, "I can't even get a dog yet... it's all a choice, and I think as you get older, you're like, 'Okay, you got to find these balances because life just goes so fast.'"

Kitsch expressed that while he takes on fulfilling and intense roles, it often means sidelining personal relationships. He explained, "The catch-22 is I keep getting these great, fulfilling jobs... you got to push your relationships and everything else to the side."

He also emphasized his desire to take on riskier projects, stating, "I want to keep pushing and make sure I'm not getting comfortable... it better be worth it."

Looking ahead, Kitsch shared his adventurous plans for the new year: "I'm going to Patagonia with two of my best friends on a two-week motorcycle ride to photograph the pumas. It's those things I want to start doing a lot more of."
