Amazon Launches Regional Creatives Fund with £30,000 Grants

Amazon has introduced the Regional Creatives Fund, offering grants of up to £30,000 to UK charities focused on upskilling individuals for careers in creative industries. This initiative is particularly aimed at West Yorkshire and other regions across the UK, supporting sectors like gaming, publishing, fashion, film, advertising, TV, and music.

Who Can Apply?

• Registered charities in the UK
• Organizations running programmes that upskill underserved communities
• Applications open until 31st August 2025

What’s Included?

• Financial support up to £30,000 for individual organizations
• Consortium applications can request up to £100,000
• Pro bono support from Amazon’s network of creative professionals, including mentoring and work experience opportunities

Why This Matters

Research shows that younger adults from working-class backgrounds are four times less likely to work in creative industries compared to their middle-class peers. Only 9% of the creative workforce identifies as disabled, despite 22% of the general working-age population being disabled. This fund aims to bridge these gaps.

Additional Benefits

• Mentoring from Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Amazon Games professionals
• Placement opportunities in game development studios, music production training, and more
• Judging panel includes leaders from The National Theatre, Arts Council England, and more
