North Lincolnshire Jobs Expo Plus: A Premier Event for Job Seekers and Employers
Local employers and support organizations are invited to participate in the North Lincolnshire Jobs Expo Plus, scheduled for Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe. The event runs from 10 AM to 4 PM, with the general public welcome from 10 AM to 3 PM.
Building on the success of previous expos, this year's event goes even further by including not just businesses with job vacancies but also organizations offering pension advice, retraining opportunities, work experience, careers guidance, and mental health support. This comprehensive approach is designed to assist not only those seeking new careers but also individuals facing redundancy who need practical advice and reassurance about their future.
Employers who have attended past expos have reported strong outcomes, such as promoting vacancies and engaging directly with potential employees. One major employer shared, "It's been a really valuable, successful event. We not only promoted our vacancies but also connected with other local businesses and shared information about our education programmes. We had 15 applications on the day and hundreds of conversations with job seekers—nothing compares to speaking face-to-face with potential future employees."
Feedback from job seekers has been overwhelmingly positive. At a previous event with over 700 attendees, 64% stated they would definitely apply for vacancies found at the expo, with an additional 14% considering it.
Exhibitors can enjoy benefits including:
- Access to the venue from 8 AM
- Free parking at nearby Deyne Avenue
- A table, power supply, lunch, and refreshments like tea and coffee
Businesses with vacancies or work experience opportunities, as well as providers supporting people in overcoming work barriers, are urged to book their place by completing the online form before 5 PM on Friday, September 19, 2025.
