Discover Your Next Career Move
Residents across North Lincolnshire can take the next step towards a brighter future at the Jobs Expo Plus, coming to the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe on Thursday, 2 October 2025, from 10am to 3pm.
This event builds on the popular Jobs Expo but now offers even more as Jobs Expo Plus. Alongside hundreds of live vacancies from local employers, visitors will find practical support to advance their careers, no matter their current stage.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, emphasized: "This is about much more than matching vacancies with jobseekers – it's about giving people the full package of support they need when thinking about their future. Whether it's retraining, financial advice, or health and wellbeing support, we want everyone to leave feeling more confident and better prepared for the opportunities ahead."
The event is designed to help residents build their careers, boost their skills, and gain confidence.
What to Expect at the Expo
In addition to businesses recruiting for immediate and future roles, attendees can access advice and guidance on:
- Retraining and work experience opportunities
- Managing money and accessing pensions for financial stability
- Mental health and wellbeing support to stay resilient
- Careers guidance and confidence-building sessions
The Expo is open to everyone, including those currently unemployed, individuals looking to progress in their careers, or anyone facing redundancy and exploring new options.
Cllr Waltham added: "There will be lots of opportunities for young people taking their first steps into the world of work, particularly for those who've just left college and decided university wasn't for them. There are plenty of live opportunities for them to launch their career here in North Lincolnshire."
At the previous Jobs Expo, over 700 people attended, with four out of five attendees going on to apply for jobs they discovered on the day. Employers also saw significant benefits, meeting hundreds of potential recruits and receiving dozens of applications.
The Jobs Expo Plus is free to attend – simply turn up on the day and explore the opportunities available.
