Unlock Your Creative Future: £30,000 Grants Now Available for Birmingham's Underserved Communities

New £30,000 Grants to Boost Creative Careers in Birmingham
The Regional Creatives Fund, launched by Amazon, is now offering grants of up to £30,000 to UK charities that develop creative industry career pathways. This initiative aims to increase access to careers in publishing, music, gaming, film, TV, fashion, advertising, and more for people from underserved communities.
Who Can Apply?
- Registered charities in the UK focusing on creative upskilling.
- Organisations running impactful skills projects seeking funding to scale, sustain, or innovate.
- Consortiums can apply for up to £100,000.
Why This Matters
Research shows significant barriers for ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, and those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds in entering the creative industries. For instance, younger adults from working-class backgrounds are four times less likely to work in creative sectors compared to their middle-class peers.
Beyond Financial Support
Recipients will also gain access to Amazon’s network of creative professionals for mentoring, work experience, and digital training. This includes experts from Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Amazon Games.
How to Apply
Applications are open now. Strong proposals should reflect the fund’s spirit with energy, optimism, and a clear creative purpose. More details and the application link can be found here.
