Unlock Your Future: Calderdale College Students Excel with Record T Level and BTEC Success!

Calderdale College Celebrates Outstanding Student Achievements

Students at Calderdale College are celebrating exceptional results in their T Levels and BTECs, marking a year of record-breaking success. This year saw a surge in students taking Level 3 and T Level qualifications, enabling them to access apprenticeships, university placements, and careers in high-demand industries.

Many courses achieved 100% pass rates, with approximately half of the students earning merit or distinction grades. The inaugural T Level in Engineering cohort secured a perfect pass rate, with students moving on to Leeds Beckett University, the Army, and degree apprenticeships with local employers.

The Early Years T Level mirrored this success, with all students passing, alongside strong performances in Performing Arts, Art & Design, Creative Media, and Fabrication & Welding. Impressively, 36 students achieved triple distinction or higher, including 19 with triple distinction star honors.

Safian, a Business student who earned a distinction after an industry placement with Calderdale Council, shared, "I'm over the moon with my grade and the support from my tutor. I'm excited to study Marketing at the University of Bradford and see what the future holds."

Zainab, a T Level Health student, also celebrated a distinction as she begins her role as an assistant nutritionist at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. She noted, "Moving to Calderdale College was one of my best decisions. It's hands-on and prepares me for my hospital role and a dietetics apprenticeship."

David Malone, Principal and Chief Executive of Calderdale College, expressed his thrill, stating, "These outstanding results reflect the hard work and determination of our students and staff. They open doors to valuable apprenticeships, meaningful employment, and further education, highlighting our role in inspiring the community to pursue passions and make a positive impact."

Calderdale College is expanding its T Level offerings, with a new Animal Management course starting in September to strengthen agricultural career pathways.
