Unlock Your Future: Join De Montfort University's National Careers Week Events!

Next week (3-7 March) marks National Careers Week and to celebrate, De Montfort University invites students to participate in employability workshops and activities at our Careers Hub.

Each year in early March, organizations across the country offer free resources and activities to help young people explore their career opportunities and map out their future. Throughout the week, DMU’s award-winning careers team will host a series of free sessions across various sectors, all aimed at enhancing our students’ career prospects.
Event Highlights
- Frontrunners: One of DMU’s most popular career schemes enabling students to gain paid work experience within the university. The first event next week will assist students in completing their Frontrunner application.
- On Tuesday, from 10am to 3pm, students can network with peers who have completed placements and internships, gaining firsthand insights and advice on available opportunities and how to excel in applications.
- Wednesday features a series of 45-minute workshops at the Careers Hub focusing on CV advice, interview preparation, and career mapping.
- For aspiring entrepreneurs in the creative industries, the DMU Made team has invited EastEnders actor Toby-Alexander Smith to share insights from his career in television and film, part of the wider DMU Made Creative Industries programme.
- The week concludes with a masterclass on securing part-time work, offering strategies for managing time while studying.
