Why Nuclear Careers Are Booming

The UK government has made significant investments in nuclear energy as part of its net zero 2050 strategy, creating increased demand for skilled workers. Industry forecasts indicate that approximately 40,000 new recruits will be needed by 2030 to meet this growing demand.

Alex Taylor, head of talent acquisition at Amentum, emphasized the value of the event: "At Amentum, we’ve met candidates who have gone on to join our team thanks to this event. It’s a brilliant opportunity to discover talent and showcase what nuclear has to offer. Whether you’re curious about nuclear or actively job hunting, this event opens doors you might not expect."
