New Wave of Skills Bootcamps Launches in Worcestershire
PEOPLE in Worcestershire can now take the next step towards a better career as the county council launches a new wave of its successful Skills Bootcamps programme. Managed by Worcestershire County Council and delivered in partnership with a wide range of expert training providers, these free, sector-focused short courses are designed to help adults aged 19 and over gain practical skills and progress in work.
What’s on Offer?
The new, Wave 6 Skills Bootcamps include courses in:
- Construction
- Welding
- Marketing
- Digital and Cyber Skills
- Leadership and Management
- Plumbing
- Health and Social Care
- Green Skills
- Hairdressing
Industry Collaboration
Abigail Jones, Skills Bootcamps Programme Manager, said:
“We are proud to bring another wave of Skills Bootcamps to Worcestershire, building on the clear success of previous years. With a contract worth £2.4 million, the next wave of Skills Bootcamps rolls out across the county from May and will build on the success of previous years.”
New employers such as Kanes Foods, Spellar Metcalfe, Hoople, Sainsbury’s Distribution, and Amazon are also on board, ensuring training aligns with real industry needs.

Skills Bootcamps can be completed in as little as six weeks, providing a clear route to employment, with many offering guaranteed interviews upon completion with local employers.
