Hundreds of young people gained valuable insights into career opportunities during a recent event celebrating National Apprenticeship Week. The Apprenticeships Careers Fair 2025 welcomed 900 students from 13 Cambridgeshire schools to Impington Village College.

An impressive 27 employers participated, including notable companies like AstraZeneca, ARM, PEM, Johnson Matthey, and First Intuition. These businesses showcased a diverse range of apprenticeship opportunities across various sectors, such as healthcare, engineering, and finance.
Valuable Seminars
The event also featured two informative seminars:
- Interview Skills presented by South Cambridgeshire District Council.
- Employability Skills conducted by First Intuition.
Student Participation
Students from several schools, including Cambridge Maths School, Chesterton Sixth Form, and Northstowe Secondary School, attended the fair.
Inspiring Connections
Anne Bailey, CEO of Form the Future, expressed her pride in connecting young people with leading employers, stating, “It was inspiring to see so many students eager to learn about apprenticeships and the career paths they open up.”
Christopher Gee, assistant principal of Impington Village College, noted the enthusiasm among students, emphasizing the importance of direct engagement with employers and current apprentices to provide real insights into potential careers. He remarked on the significance of the partnership with Form the Future, which bridges the gap between education and industry.
