Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Programme Management will be responsible for:

  • Lead the execution of multiple manufacturing projects, driving the industrialisation of advanced battery cell manufacturing technologies.
  • The development and delivery of plans for move-in, installation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment, working cross-functionally to ensure alignment of all required functions, tools and processes.
  • Work closely with engineering, capital delivery, quality, supply chain, automation and IT teams to drive process design changes, troubleshoot operational challenges, and develop root cause analyses for process failures.
  • Develop a team of programme managers & engineers. Allocate resources efficiently to meet project deadlines, while maintaining stringent safety and environmental standards.
  • Manage programme budgets related to equipment procurement, commissioning, and scale-up activities. Track capital expenditures (CapEx) and operational expenses (OpEx) to ensure financial efficiency while maintaining high process fidelity.

Who We Are... Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We will design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset. What You'll Bring...

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent.
  • Advanced certifications in programme management or manufacturing (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in leading and delivering complex, large-scale manufacturing programmes, preferably within high-tech or advanced engineering environments.
  • Deep technical knowledge of battery cell manufacturing processes or comparable industries, with a solid grasp of the challenges and requirements of high-volume, automated production.
  • Excellent background in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing sectors such as Battery, Automotive, Aerospace, Food, FMCG, or Pharmaceutical.
  • Demonstrated success in managing programmes with critical technical deliverables, ensuring on-time delivery, cost control, and performance outcomes.
  • Proficient in programme and project management tools and methodologies, with a data-driven and structured approach to execution and reporting.
  • Experience in leading start-up, scale-up, or greenfield projects, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, evolving environments.

What You'll Get... As a new company, our reward scheme is constantly evolving.
