Oracle Consultant

North East England (Hybrid) - 2/3 days per week on site

3-6 months initially

£400 - £500 (Outside IR35)

Previous Higher Education working experience is a MUST HAVE!

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement Oracle database applications to support institutional needs, including student information systems, finance systems, and human resources systems.

Perform database administration tasks such as backup, recovery, performance tuning, and monitoring to ensure optimal database performance and availability.

Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient data integration between Oracle databases and other institutional systems.

Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse system needs, and design solutions that enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.

Experience:

• Proven experience with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports.
• Experience with Oracle APEX and Oracle E-Business Suite is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
• Knowledge of database design, data modelling, and normalization.
• Experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator).
