Business Manager - Primary SchoolLocation: Birmingham Start Date: July 2025 Contract Type: Full time Salary: Competitive, Based on experience About Us Monarch Education is working alongside a primary school in Birmingham to recruit a Business Manager to join their team from July 2025. This position is full time which will be ideal for someone who is experienced in being a business manager in a primary school. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive manager to oversee the operational and financial function of the school, that will ensure a smooth-running school with a supporting leadership team and contribution to their ongoing success. Job Description This Primary school is dedicated to providing an excellent environment to learn and grow. We are committed to providing a nurturing atmosphere where staff, pupils and parents can come together to achieve excellence.

  • Manage the school's budget, financial planning and reporting.
  • Maintaining good premises, health and safety.
  • Supporting the school's policies and procedures.
  • Contributing to school improvements.
  • Oversee human resources.
  • Lead on HR functions including staffing, recruitment and staff wellbeing.
  • Lead on compliance with statutory and financial regulations.
  • Liaise with governors, external agencies and service providers.

Requirements

  • Strong financial and operational management skills.
  • To work independently and as a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High experience in business management in education.
  • Strong organisation and multitasking skills.
  • familiarity with school funding frameworks and health and safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation's including safeguarding, health and safety and employment law.
